Measure your pool in six steps. Tape from two spots on the deck to marks on the wall, speak or type the numbers, and the pool draws itself.

Snap the pool while you're with the customer. Photos go out with the order and are filed on the customer's account, so VPLD sees what you saw.
Stand on the deck facing the pool. Put A on your left and B on your right, at least 3 ft back from the edge and 20 to 25 ft apart (about 2/3 the pool’s length). Tape the straight distance from A to B.
Every mark on the pool wall should be in a straight tape line from both A and B. A longer A–B line gives sharper results; a short one (under 15 ft) bends the shape. A on the left matters: the factory reads the numbers that way, and if A and B are swapped the liner comes back as a mirror image. Number the points clockwise, starting at the steps.
Start where the steps meet the wall. For a rectangle, L or Grecian pool, tape every corner plus a point midway along long walls. At each mark on the wall, tape the distance from A, then from B. Enter whole inches, then pick the fraction (1/8, 1/4, 1/2…) from the menu beside it.
Mark the top of the wall every 2 to 3 ft and wherever the curve changes. Most points are regular wall points. Use the menu on a row only for special points: a sharp corner, where the steps meet the wall (left or right), or where the shallow or hopper floor breaks. Left and right are as you stand in the deep end looking toward the shallow end.
Tape straight across the pool between two numbered points. The tool tells you if the drawing agrees within 1 in.
One tap fills in the real VPLD Liner Order Form with every measurement and the chosen pattern, adds an A-B page with the drawing, and sends the package to VPLD at orders@vinylpoollinersdirect.com. VPLD checks it, collects the deposit and places it with the manufacturer.
Liner coverage is a planning estimate for quoting. The factory sets the final size from these measurements.
